Governor Phil Scott and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) today announced the establishment of the State of Vermont Economic Mitigation & Recovery Task Force.
Several organizations have come together to create a community response coordinating team to help the community-based response teams and mutual aid networks that have risen in response to Vermont’s effort to “flatten the curve” of the spread of the novel coronavirus and COVID-19.
In 2017, VCRD completed its Community Visit process in Burke. The “One Burke” initiative was formed as part of the process and local task force groups are working hard to move projects forward that the community identified as priorities.
Rockingham residents gathered at Bellows Falls Middle School last Thursday for the third Let’s Take Action forum with officials from the Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD) to design three task force blueprints focused on long-term improvements for the township.
