Summits convene state and federal leaders and encourage their cooperative goal-setting and mutual investment in response to key rural priorities in Vermont.
Over 500 leaders from towns throughout Vermont came together at the 2nd annual Community Leadership Summit to learn from each other, connect to potential partners and resources, and support each other’s progress in service to their community, and to Vermont. “A leader doesn’t want to be the best in the world, but the best for the world,” said Paul Costello, executive director of Vermont Council on Rural Development, while speaking to a crowd of over 500 leaders, politicians, CEO’s, directors and Vermonters who packed the halls of Vermont Technical College on Aug. 12.
At VCRD’s Community Leadership Summit Today, VCRD Awards its Annual Vermont Community Leadership Award and Community Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award.
