Since its inception in 1992, VCRD has worked to support a wide range of initiatives throughout Vermont in order to provide in-depth studies and concrete policy recommendations to statewide and local officials that impact rural Vermont. VCRD has convened Policy Councils around agriculture, climate change, forest products, and more. Policy Councils convened by VCRD through the years include:
