The Vermont Council for Rural Development sponsored the State House summit on December 10, 2010 of more than 300 people from agriculture, forestry, business, and public policy. The day highlighted the continuing crisis that is fragmenting the working landscape in Vermont and unveiled bold new steps to reverse this trend. The Summit also launched a new nonpartisan and broad-based partnership to support local agriculture and forestry, grow and attract farm and forest entrepreneurs, and conserve Vermont’s Working Landscape far into the future.
