Same Sun employee Jonathon Klos came to Vermont from Michigan to attend Green Mountain College. Instead of returning to Michigan, he stayed to take a job with Same Sun, a Rutland-based solar company. Today, he leads one of their two installation crews on many industrial, school, business, and residential arrays – including Jane and Bernie Sander’s home – and he is now house shopping and planning his life here in Vermont.
I came to Vermont to pursue a degree, and stayed because of the opportunity to join Same Sun, learn a trade, and work and live in the community that has become home,” said Jonathon, “I love exploring Vermont, leading a crew, and seeing our solar installations throughout town. Every single job has helped me grow to become an experienced, skillful, and confident young professional.”
Phillip Allen, who established and leads Same Sun says, “A college graduate, a solar professional, and soon to be homeowner, Jon is just the type of 25 year old we want to keep in Vermont!”
