In the wake of the July 2023 flooding event, the newly formed Barre Up (Long-Term Flood Recovery Committee) and the City of Barre invited VCRD to facilitate a process to bring the full diversity of the Barre community together to listen to each other, share experiences, and think together about what comes next for flood response and recovery. This report documents the process, themes, and action ideas that emerged from the 2 public meetings as well as a list of resources that can support future work and detailed notes from community discussions. The Barre Up committee and their partners can use this report as a blueprint for what comes next as they work to connect services, meet needs, and help plan for a more resilient future for Barre City.
