MONTPELIER, VT. — The Vermont Council on Rural Development says there are more public access points for Wi-Fi that are part of the Vermont Digital Economy Project.
Their installation team reports adding wireless hotspots in Stockbridge, Killington and Middletown Springs. They also say they created a wireless zone around Fair Haven's town green.
VCRD says the cold snap in January made work on wireless installations tougher since temperatures below zero cause cable casings to become "brittle."
VCRD says the goal of the Vermont Digital Economy Project is to make communities more resilient after the 2011 floods.
