On Tuesday, October 4th 2016, all members of the Brighton community are invited to participate in a series of forums in town to share their concerns and ideas. VCRD will bring a team of close to 20 federal, state, business, nonprofit, and philanthropic leaders who will listen to residents and will return in months ahead to the community with recommendations, ideas and support in developing action plans and funding strategies. Click HERE for the schedule of the day.
The forum sessions for discussion on the 4th will include: Transportation & Infrastructure; Growing Our Economy; Revitalizing Downtown; Addressing Sustance Abuse & Mental Health; Recreation & Natural Resources; and The Future of Our School.
And here's a link to the Brighton Community Profile prepared by UVM's Center for Rural Studies. The profile includes indicators and information about the Brighton community that can be useful to community members and the visiting team in advance of Community Visit Day.
