Already in 2009 we wrapped up the two-year Council on the Future of Vermont project; Held the Summit on the Future of Vermont for 500 participants; Have kicked off a Community Visit in Shoreham; Are launching the Vermont Working Landscape Partnership in support of the agriculture and forestry industries in Vermont; Are helping communities realize the opportunities of the Internet through an ambitious stimulus program application; Are facilitating processes to support locally-produced and affordable food; and more!

In the last several months VCRD completed a “Community Visit” process in Killington, followed up to advance the recommendations of the Vermont Rural Energy Council, organized a strategic planning process to promote Agricultural Development in Vermont, and, most significantly, produced the work of the Council on the Future of Vermont.
